I’m Melissa Ferguson.

I am a photographer in Winchester Virginia as well as a mother to two firecrackers and wife to a beautiful man who makes me snort-laugh on a daily basis. I am fortunate that my dream job is my career in photography. My goal is not only to gain clients, but to gain forever friends.

I am emotionally invested in every single session and it is always my goal to give you the best experience possible! When I’m not spending time with my clients, you can find me being the ultimate Cheer Mom with my daughter, Camden or chasing around my son, Bode. I have no shame in admitting that I can recite almost every episode of Bluey, I am a master at building magnetic block houses, and I can definitely be outrun by my little ones.

FAMILY

The best thing about family sessions is getting to capture what makes your family unique. I love mixing both posed and unposed shots to best capture your family dynamic, helping you remember all the amazing moments spent together just by looking at these photographs. Most importantly, your family session won’t feel like work. Dad will belly laugh, kids will have so much fun playing games that they don’t want it to end, and Mom will feel stress free!

FRESH 48

Fresh 48 sessions are the perfect way to document your newborns first 24-48 hours! I focus on capturing the little details that change so quickly within that first week, your little one will only be THAT little for so long. From head to toe detail shots, cuddles in the hospital bed, and maybe even Dad’s first diaper change- I’ll be there to capture it all.

LIFESTYLE NEWBORNS

Lifestyle Newborn sessions allow me to be a fly on the wall, viewing your new family. The cuddles and little details, reactions and giggles are so important to capture before they change and evolve as your little one grows! I strive to capture those honest and tender moments between you and your new baby. These sessions are relaxed, with slight posing and using what you already have in your home. Sessions take place in the comfort of your home and focus on the nursery, master bedroom, and your main living area.
